Self Defense and the State
In Boston, it is nearly impossible to own and carry a firearm, legally. Consequently, the people there have been conditioned to rely on Law Enforcement to protect them from those who would do them harm. During that bombing, in Boston, there were thousands on the streets watching the runners. All of those people believed that someone else should be looking for the evil people wanting to commit murder instead of themselves. Fast forward to the days following when these same people who abdicated their duty under the Second Amendment cheered as the police declared Martial Law, and kicked down their doors.
